yes, it is the silver amalgam. made with mercury, but they swear that it is safe. i thought it was neat how it isn’t a uniform silver that it looks like from a distance, but appears to be made of small crystals or granules. It is also surprisingly hard to dry off your molar! I swabbed my tooth with a towel before taking the picture and yet there is still a little moisture clinging to it.
