Moonspoon
I just discovered moonspoon. This husband and wife pair makes cherry kitchenware using a laser!
Star of the North website live
Another site goes live, hosted by zipvelour.com. The concert band I play with, the Star of the North Concert Band, has a brand spanking new site.
We build it on top of wordpress. That is a great platform for building small websites.
What would you put on a must-s…
What would you put on a must-see list for NYC? I’m flying to the big apple in a few.

Reprieve
I have a few moments to smell the … Tulips… Before returning to help with the “bag sale” at the Textile Center Garage Sale. I had fun dressing up in a bright yellow apron with Shibori-dyed textile center logo, primary-red cape with gaudy trim, and a rainbow colored felted wool crown. I towered above the other volunteers working checkout. And was the only possessor of y-chromosomes for miles. You’d think with that kind of get up Becka would be impressed– nah, she would just tell people to go find the “guy with the crown”.
Urban Coyote
I took a scenic route to work this AM, stopping via the RE-USE CENTER where I helped set up for this weekend’s Textile Center Garage Sale. (It’s going to be HUGE! And the RE-USE Center is pretty darn cool — Becka had to make me stop looking at the cool scientific equipment and computer gadgets they have for sale.)
While biking from there, I passed through a quiet neighborhood near a golf course. I glanced over and saw a coyote running across the green. He never looked back and disappeared over the hill.
End of Instagram (for me)
I might have to start publishing my photos of whimsy here, again, now that Instagram has been acquired by Facebook. Instagram was fun because it was the little upstarts. Now that they’ve sold out to the tune of a billion dollars, they’re not that anymore!
